Market - Unstoppable Bull

After a cautious start, the Thursday market accelerated north seeing the V1-03 contract burst through the 300 NOK/MWh level. The possibilities of correction seems far off, although one trader said some of the weeks may be a bit too expensive now.
“I think players have realised that we are well into a shortage situation, and the forward curve should gradually adjust to this. Power is a necessity for people, so there are few limits on prices in the short term”, a Norwegian trader said adding that every effort to turn the trend have failed, including the big long squeeze some weeks ago.Correction?A

Market - Not surprising
The Friday morning market continued correcting from yesterday’s weak close, a correction that did not surprise players and market observers. Some more precipitation and higher temperatures brought the levels down some 10 NOK, but the bull trend remains very much intact, and towards noon levels were lifting somewhat again.

The Friday morning market continued correcting from yesterday’s weak close, a correction that did not surprise players and market observers. Some more precipitation and higher temperatures brought the levels down some 10 NOK, but the bull trend remains very much intact, and towards noon levels were lifting somewhat again.

The market has taken a breathing space on Wednesday with most contracts correcting down on yesterdays strong close. Warmer weather should press the system price further down, but there is nothing fundamental indicating a change to the strong bull trend, market players say.
